BELLFLOWER, Calif. ? Prosecutors say a Bellflower athletics coach has been charged with molesting a girl for five years, starting when she was 13.
Deputy District Attorney Nicole Lai Vo says 48-year-old Bryan Shepherd was charged Wednesday with 20 counts of sex-related crimes in the alleged molestation. The charges include child molestation, oral copulation of a minor, sodomy of a minor and unlawful sexual intercourse.
Vo says the Bellflower High School coach molested one victim from the time she was 13 in 2005 until she was 17 in 2010.
Shepherd coached girls basketball and track and field.
He was arrested Tuesday is being held on $3 million bail.
