DETROIT - Don Kelly of the Detroit Tigers hit a sacrifice fly with one out and the bases loaded in the bottom of the 9th inning to beat the Oakland A's 5-4 and give the Tigers a 2-0 lead in the ALDS.

The best-of-five series now heads to Oakland.

The A's struck first, jumping out to a 1-0 lead in the third when Yoenis Cespedes singled to drive in Cliff Pennington from second. The Tigers matched the run in the bottom of the inning. ?Miguel Cabrera scored on a Delmon Young groundout after doubling, then advancing to third on a Prince Fielder single.

After that, both teams matched zeros on the scoreboard until the seventh, when Pennington drove in Seth Smith with a single to center.

Detroit retook the lead in the bottom half of the seventh with Austin Jackson and Omar Infante scoring on an error by center fielder Coco Crisp.

The A's plated a run in the eighth on a wild pitch by Joaquin Benoit after Cespedes singled and stole second and third. Josh Reddick followed with a solo homer to give the A's a 4-3 lead.

A wild pitch by A's reliever Ryan Cook, though, allowed Kelly to score, tying the score at 4-4.

Doug Fister went seven innings for the Tigers, giving up six hits, two walks and two runs, both earned. Tommy Milone pitched six for the A's, surrendering five hits, one walk and one earned run.
