Climate Change and Peak oil, how this affect the economy

The current economy theory is based on constant growth of production, but how can the economy grow forever in a world with Peak oil ( and peak everything else , like uranium and coal one source: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F5ogr...layer_embedded) and climate change?

We need to change the economy system to be less growth based and more resilient and more environmentally friendly. This means for example shorter work week, heavy taxation on polluting activities, fairer taxation system ( a more progressive tax system)

We cant go thinking growth is the solution to all world problems. This is a myth, growth nowadays often means the the rich gets richer and the poor gets poorer, and it also means that we come closer to peak everything and the possible a six degree hotter world ( that would be catastrophic )

If you don't believe in Climate change and/or Peak oil discuss this in an other thread. You have many other threads for that
