Allina Commons is the Minneapolis-based headquarters of Allina Health, a not-for-profit health care organization serving patients and communities. Approximately 1,600 corporate and administrative service employees work at offices within Midtown Exchange, site of the historic Sears retail complex at Chicago Avenue and E. Lake Street. This community landmark, adjacent to the campus of Allina?s Abbott Northwestern Hospital, is the second largest building in Minnesota and includes offices, an internationally themed public market and residential units.

Responsibilities

As Allina develops and continues partnerships in various forms (affiliates, acquisitions and professional services agreements(PSAs) there is a need to ensure appropriate and comprehensive compliance in the areas of HIPAA privacy, security and PCI.

1. Assess partners? privacy and security and other regulatory policies and procedures to determine if they are aligned with ours; identify and resolve major gaps
2. Ensure ongoing, appropriate security and compliance education and awareness that evolves as the regulatory environment changes.
3. Ensure affiliates, acquisitions and PSAs have appropriate agreements with their business partners with regards to handling of personally identifiable information, protected health information and cardholder data
4. Review affiliates? monitoring of access to protected health information
5. Collaborate, enhance and improve disclosure management so partners are bale to ensure compliant processes
6. Work with internal colleagues to identify dat/information access plans/assumptions and specifically address those during the creation of the ?deals?, to minimize risks of non-compliance

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

BS/ BA preferred

Business Analyst experience minimum of 5-6 years

Experience with healthcare regulatory environment strongly preferred

Skills:

Ability to develop collaborative working relationships across Allina?s departments, business units and affiliate partners

Strong analytical and presentation skills

Effective written and spoken communication skills applied both internal and external to Allina

Proven ability to lead meetings and direct team problem solving sessions

Proven facilitation and organizational skills

Challenges others thinking to create effective and efficient work processes

Must be able to be flexible, appreciate variety and able to prioritize effectively

Demonstrates sounds business judgement

Strong knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, SharPoint and Access

Awareness of project management principles and ability to manage small to medium projects

Ability to accept responsibility to develop solutions from concept to completion

Able to champion new and innovative ideas to address business units/system barriers or opportunities

Able to manage or coordinate multiple projects with varying timeframes; able to perform well as a project team member

Takes initiative to become more knowledgeable about healthcare compliance trends

Must be independent and self-motivated
