Vietnam retail revenues continue to rise | Vietnam Business News

Viet Nam?s retail and service revenues in the first three quarters are estimated to have risen 17.15% against the same period last year, valuing VND 1,710 trillion.

According to the General Statistics Office, the nation?s retail and service revenue in September reached nearly VND 193,000 billion, up 1.08% against August.

The trade sector generated VND 1,320 trillion, a year-on-year growth of 16.3%, and accounted for 77.2% of the total sum.

Hotel and restaurant sector reported a rise of 27.4% to VND 227,000 billion, accounting for 11.3% while tourism saw an increase of 30.7% to VND 18.3 trillion, accounting for 1.1%.

Individual businesses generated VND 834,000 billion (up 17.1%), making up 48.8%. The foreign direct investment (FDI) sector gained VND 48,000 billion (up 33.8%) while the State-owned sector?s revenue is estimated at VND 202,000 billion (up 0.1%), accounting for 11.8%.
